LEV Sensors & monitoring

WHY IS LEV SENSOR TECHNOLOGY IMPORTANT?

Advanced LEV Sensor technology from Vent-tech

An issue can occur with your LEV system at any time. Waiting for the results of your 14 monthly LEV Test before you are aware of and begin to rectify problems can be very dangerous.
Many manufacturing processes create emissions that can be harmful. Common emissions include Aerosols,(mist), fumes, noise, particulates (dust) and volatile organic compounds. While a fully working LEV system will mitigate the risks associated with these emissions, it is important to keep on top of your LEV servicing and be aware that sometimes engineering controls do fail.

How can these risks be reduced?

At Vent-Tech we have exclusive use of this cutting edge LEV Sensor Technology. This means we can provide the means to monitor changes within your system with live data 24/7 so you’ll never be caught off guard by an ineffective or faulty system.

What is Advanced LEV Sensor Technology?

This new and innovative technology is a 24/7 automated monitoring and reporting platform developed to help companies better understand the health of their LEV systems, pre-empt issues and
reduce downtime whilst most importantly, keeping staff safe from harmful emissions.
The technology is cloud based so can be used directly on the premises or from anywhere in the world.
The system provides real-time data, stored historic data and a live dashboard with adjustable alerts (audio, email and SMS)
The LEV Sensor Technology is easy to install and like all the best technology, all the wizardry is done
behind the scenes so you are left with a simple and easy to use platform

CAN YOU BENEFIT FROM THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY?

Who is Advanced Sensor Technology for?

Having this technology installed is perfect if you want to monitor airflow in ducting at height. It is also great for anyone in charge of multiple LEV systems or multiple sites. Ideal for those who have LEV systems in remote locations (e.g. oil rigs.)

Those who want specific clearance times will also find this technology useful, as well as anyone who works in an environment where downtime is extremely costly. Pre-empting when filters will need to be changed, or issues arise will mean that parts can be ordered and engineers booked to work around you and fix the issue before it can cause harm.

What can you monitor with LEV Sensor technology?

This state of the art technology can help you keep on top of, and up to date with the status of the components of your LEV system in-between tests.

The list of things that can monitored with this sensor technology is almost limitless, here are a few of our favourites:

Noise levels

Filter health

Airflow

Temperature

Total volatile organic compounds

Pressure differentials

Power usage

Compressed air conditions

Static pressures

VOC’s & particulates

What can I do with this information

Continuous LEV monitoring gives you greater visibility over the ongoing performance of your extraction system between scheduled LEV testing and servicing intervals.

Real-time data can help identify changes in airflow, filter performance, pressure, or contaminant levels before they develop into larger operational or safety issues. This allows businesses to respond earlier, helping reduce unplanned downtime and maintain safer working conditions.

The information can also be used for practical operational controls, such as setting alerts for full collection bins, sudden increases in airborne contaminants, or changes in system performance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can LEV sensor technology replace statutory LEV testing?

No. LEV sensor technology does not replace the legal requirement for Thorough Examination and Testing (TExT) under COSHH. Instead, it provides ongoing monitoring between examinations to help improve visibility over system performance.

What can LEV monitoring systems monitor?

Depending on the application, LEV sensor technology can monitor airflow, filter performance, pressure differentials, VOC levels, airborne particulates, temperature, static pressures, power usage, and other operational conditions within the LEV system.

Is LEV sensor technology suitable for multiple sites?

Yes. Because the platform is cloud-based, it can be used to monitor multiple LEV systems across one or several sites through a central dashboard with live data and adjustable alerts.

Why is LEV sensor technology important?

LEV systems can develop faults or performance issues at any time. Continuous LEV monitoring helps identify changes in system performance earlier, allowing businesses to respond before problems affect workplace safety, compliance, or production.
