ARUP - Examination and Testing of LEV Systems Case Study

Background

ARUP are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists, offering a broad range of professional services. ARUPs invited Vent-Tech to assist with a COSHH test on a specialist welding system for one of their clients. Vent-Tech needed to demonstrate they had the expertise required to carry out this work to the exacting standards required by Arup, whose reputation is built on the level of knowledge and service they provide to their clients. The experience Vent-Tech had, coupled with the fact that Adrian Sims from Vent-Tech sits on the B&ES panel (LEV sub-committee for Building and Engineering Services, previously known as HVCA) helped to demonstrate their credentials to ARUP and Vent-Tech was chosen for the contract.

The Result

Vent-Tech carried out the required tests and identified a number of potential issues during the tests. To understand these further VentTech were asked to carry out an in-depth study including particulate monitoring and video analysis of the processes. Following this, Vent-Tech produced a full report and presented this to the client, explaining the issues and providing solutions for how they could improve the processes to comply with the required current legislation.

“ We have developed a good working relationship with Vent-Tech. They have a professional approach, consistently providing us with a good level of service and reliability to meet deadlines. Their expertise means we are comfortable to ask them to present in person to our clients, and they present the information required clearly in collaboration with us. We would recommend Vent-Tech to other companies as experts in their field who provide a high level of service and offer good value for money”
